Great food at great prices.

Popped in last Sunday evening with my husband for dinner. Staff were attentive & friendly. I ordered the chicken chimichangas (fried, of course) and he had chicken fajitas. Food came fast and hot. I took half of mine home in a box; I was so full.

Yummy!! Good food, good prices, convenient location. Staff was very attentive and friendly.

Excellent, authentic, delicious! You will be hard pressed to find a better Mexican meal on the Outerbanks.Prices are more than reasonable.Outstanding service! It's amazing watching how many plates the wait staff can balance on their arms! Our waiter was extremely attentive, engaging, and knowledgeable. His recommendations were spot on.Our meals came out hot and the portions were generous. Actually had to get a box to take some home.And I really enjoyed trying the Extrella Jalisco.

Waited 15 minutes as host walked away. Then came back and said there was a wait of 25 minutes. We should have been told that in the beginning before they made us wait the first 15minutes. Individual was rude to us and we said thank you and left. As we were leaving he running off at the mouth about us cause we left. This place needs to learn better customer care. Terrible Attitudes!

This place was extremely rude, they got my order completely wrong after waiting over an hour on this food. After they served everyone else that ordered takeout after me! Then when I called back to explain they got my order wrong, they told me to come back and they would replace it. Once I got there they were even more rude and still waited over 30 minutes on the second order & they threw the queso and chips in the bag causing queso to spill all in the bag alongside with the chips. 10 out of 10 do NOT recommend this place!

More like La Fo-Not-Coming-Back. We waited forever for our pickup order only to find out that they gave our food to someone else. They had no urgency or offered any apologies whatsoever. We finally got our food after an hour of waiting. When we got home they didn’t even make my mother’s salad correctly. Will never go back. Very unprofessional people who make sub-par food.

We were so happy places were opened back up, we come here every chance we get. The service is always amazing, as is the food and drinks!!!

Pollo loco comes dry with no cheese, very disappointed because I get this at every restaurant and it has always been great until now.

Food was flavorful, they charge for the second basket of chips and salsa. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I have never asked for an entire table of food to be removed from the check. We had a party of five and the food we were served was inedible. Half of the plates were ice cold, the other half tasted like it was made from expired ingredients. I asked for the food to be removed from the check but i agreed to pay for the drinks since we did drink them. If i could give this place zero stars i would.

Ordered pickup there and it was great quality, tasting, and value. Was a HUGE amount of food for like $12!

Everything was spicy. Tea was horrible. Kids hated it. And waiter decided to take $3 extra off my card for tip. Lesson learned.

The food tasted canned. Or rather precooked sat on till needed or goes bad and then Served. I had the enchiladas and they had No flavor. The house hot sauce is filled with seeds and seasons and no flavor or heat. I’m taking my leftovers homeTo my dog. He will be I. Heaven and enjoy it. I mean I paid for it someone should enjoy the food. It just won’t be me or my date. So if you would like over cooked, bland, and greasy dog food for your pooch, this is the spot.

Excellent food and service. Take out orders were backed up so our food was a little slow coming. We were apologized to and checked on by four waiters including the owner. I will definitely be back!

Got.there at 9pm. They close at 10pm. Plate was so hot I couldn't touch it, (as normal). Go to cut into my enchilada supreme and the edges of tortilla was hard as a rock. So I went for the center and the chicken and beef was refrigerator cold. I have had cold food before. But not old/refrigerator food. Where it was this cold. Told the Manager I didn't want refrigerated food. I wanted fresh food. So they took my food out the microwave and gave me my money back. Be careful and don't get sick eating NOT fresh food. I repeatedly told the manager they should not serve food that isn't fresh. Her only answer was OK. That was all Folks. Go here if you want food poison

Waited quite a while for food due to so many people being there because they wanted great food!! Great service and great food yum.

Local families operate the restaurant. I like the vegetarian quesadilla, but sometimes it is very salty.) I guess it must depend on the cook. If you like hot stuff ask for their homemade salsa.

Inside restaurant smelled like wet moldy old rags. Plates were hotter than the actual food. Waitress was wearing mask under her chin not covering mouth or nose. Restaurant used to have a good reputation now not so much.

HUGE portion of carnitas & delicious margaritas! Nice tables outside with plenty of distance between. Staff was coordinated & attentive.

Always good.. Rarely every a wait! Staff is pleasant.. Atmosphere is cozy and fun.. A great casual place to eat for a large group or a date night.

Just your average ordinary Mexican restaurant. Nothing special, it was clean and fast. The chips lacked luster but the salsa was good. All in all I wasn't disappointed, but I wasn't blown away either.

Mixed drinks are watered down....ok service skimpy on stuff and slow service...food good tho

best Mexican food in the Outer Banks... This is where the locals eat and the tourist who have been here for years and years... Great service, awesome fajitas and adult beverages... Family atmosphere where everyone works together to take care of the customer... I have eaten here many times and always look forward to coming back... Highly recommend!!

I've been eating at this restaurant for over 20 years. I'm pretty sure that the ownership has changed recently. This used to be some of the best Mexican food around. At this point, I would say that it is slightly above-average. There are better Mexican food choices locally. Tonight during normal dinner hour they had a DJ playing music and making commentary that made conversation at the table difficult. I am not sure of the direction my old favorite restaurant is taking but I am obviously not their target demographic any longer. Thanks for the memories La Fogata.

I along with my companion had lunch here and were disappointed in the food and the overall cleanliness of this restaurant. I had the burrito with refried beans and a side of guacamole, the meat that was used for the burrito was old and dried out and the guacamole was a brownish green which means old. As for the cleanliness, there was actual grease running down the wall next to the booth where we were sitting. I really don't like down talking anyone's business but when you spend your hard earned money on a meal you should get what you pay for. There are better Mexican restaurants around the area.

Server and service was awsome, food was great .it all came out hot and we had dessert! Drinks were cold ! Resteraunt xould use a little updates ti booth seats but we sat at table all in all great time ,thank you!

Slow service and only 1 free basket of chips. Chicken quesadilla was awful, no cheese, clumps of chicken.....disappointed. too many other places to pick from to waste your time here!
